I love these mini pies This mini apple pie uses Granny Smith apples. They are quite easy to make.....so enjoy.
Ingredients:
3 pastries for single crust pies
- 2 cups of diced Granny Smith apple
- 3 tablespoons of instant tapioca
- 0.5 cup of white sugar
- some lemon juice.
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions:
Step 1:
Preheat the oven at 385 degrees F
Step 2:
Cut 5 inch rounds out of the pie crust and and fit them into same inch mini pie dishes and then Cut the remaining pie crust into 1-8 inchstrips and set dough aside .
Step 3:
Mix the diced apple some tapioca. sugar. lemon juice. nutmeg and some cinnamon until thoroughly combined then allow the mixture to stand for 7 minutes to soft the tapioca and then Stir the mixture again and spoon into the pie shells then Use the strips of doughs to weave a small crust on top of each pie and then pinch the strips onto the bottom crusts then .
Step 4:
Bake in the oven until the pies changes there colors and then turns browned and the filling is thickened and bubbling for about 35 minutes and before serving cool it down.
